Jill Hennessy
Her mixed heritage includes Irish Italians, Swedish, Italians, Frenchs, and Ukrainians. Jacqueline is her twin sister, and is an actor. Jill was proficient in a variety of languages as she grew up. They comprised Italian, French, and Spanish. Jill began to become interested in acting around the age of twelve. When she was in Toronto she started her professional career as an actor in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers. She played an escort along with the twins of her. She then studied improv-comedy at Second City with Deb Kimmet. After that, she relocated to New York two years later and signed a contract to as the Detective Assistant Claire Kincaid in the hit long-running series Law & Order. In the three years that she was in New York and worked on several film projects that featured feature actors like RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1996) and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). She worked in a few dull films throughout the next several years before securing her a leading role in the 1999 miniseries uremberg alongside Alec Baldwin. Roles in major productions like Autumn in New York and Exit Wounds followed. Her first lead role was on the crime drama NBC's Crossing Jordan. And in 2007 for her work to the show, she received a Gracie Allen as the "Outstanding female lead in a drama Series". She was married to another actor Paolo Mastropietro in 2000. The couple has two kids. She was inducted to the Canadian Walk of Fame in 2007.
