Kristen Anne Bell is an American singer and actress born in 1980. She was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. She's the daughter Lorelei Frygier as well as Tom Bell. Her parents are from Polish heritage (mother) in addition to German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen's passion for acting was found at a young age. She was just 12 when she attended her first audition, and was able to win a role in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent prior to her turning thirteen, and she was subsequently cast in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. Also, she began acting lessons in private at the age of 13. Bell had a minor role without credit on the film Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music as well as the drama club. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school and she took home the part of Dorothy. After graduation Bell relocated into New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in which she was a musical theater student. Bell, who graduated in 2001, left her college studies in order to take on in the role of Becky in Tom Sawyer. Bell made her debut film credits in Pootie Tang during 2001. However, her scene cut, and her only appearance is in the final credits. Bell made her debut in 2002. Bell appeared as a character in her first Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
