Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. Her debut was on the large screen on Sex Traffic by Channel 4, for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award was awarded to the best actress. She is fluent in French, German English, and Romanian. Her mother played the violin and her father is a theatre professor at one of the best Romanian theater schools. Won the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award in the Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, she was recognized as an 'Eastern Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. Anamaria Marinca, an actress with Romanian heritage, made her screen debut in the television series British-Canadian called Sex Traffic. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress for this role. Alongside her impressive performance in her maiden film, the actress will also be recognized for her performance in the Romanian art film 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days which won her numerous awards, like winning the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She was the lead in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days" (4 Months Three Weeks and 2 Days) which earned her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film also earned two other awards, The Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) and the Cinema Prize. She also appeared in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. She was also in 2008 as Yasim Anwar on the BBC 5-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a guest in her own Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. Then, she played major roles in 2014's Fury where she played Irma her German aunt of Emma.
